They did the crime, they're doing the time -
and growing in the grace of God right in the middle of it all. It is a fact that many who victimize others were first victims themselves. Prison Ministry is about helping and healing in JESUS' mighty name.
At Leath Correctional Facility for Women in Greenwood, South Carolina we're doing a two-hour Bible Study every Monday night and three hours of one-to-one counseling every Wednesday morning. For the past three years, we have provided Christmas care packages and a holiday meal for ten (very grateful) inmates.
We are also in the prayer/discussion stage of establishing support groups for family and friends of inmates, to offer help and comfort during the difficult and lonely times.
